Things I might miss

Only two days to go and I haven't even packed yet. What essentials do I need? Do they have Marmite in the States?

I've got some Marmite in my 'Fridge. In Edgewood, NM, USA. It's a few months out of date, but who would notice when Marmite "goes bad"? I got it in a specialty food store in an Albuquerque, NM shopping mall.

I acquired a taste for the stuff after trying Vegemite in Perth, Western Australia ca. 1986. Had to try it after the song and all.

    Anyway, you're welcome to it.

Hello. I got to your site through OxBlog. Marmite can be found in most grocery stores in New York. Will you be in / near New York? The big problem for me was Branston Pickle. But I don't know if you're a pickle person. I just got my English friends to bring over a huge jar every time they visited. Lyle's golden syrup is also difficult to find.

I've never seen Marmite, but I sure hope they have McVitties Chocolate Digestives and Chocolate Chip Tracker Bars in the States. I'm addicted now.
By the way, which Oxford college are you at???
